Royal Enfield on Rent in Rishikesh

Six Royal Enfield models. Fifty vehicles. All insured, all on taxi-series plates, all cleared to ride anywhere in Uttarakhand.

Rishikesh is where the plains stop. Everything north of here is switchbacks, river gorges and altitude, and a Royal Enfield is the machine most people picture themselves on when they imagine riding it. We’ve been putting riders on those bikes from our shop beside Ram Jhula since 2015.

Where These Bikes Are Actually Going

Most of our rentals don’t stay in Rishikesh. They go north. Because every bike carries a commercial taxi-series plate and all-Uttarakhand permissions, you can ride through any district in the state without a checkpost problem — which is not true of every rental bike in this town.

Tell us the route when you book. We’ll set the bike up for the distance, hand you a mechanic’s contact on that road, and tell you honestly if it’s closed.

How It Works

1. Message us the dates. WhatsApp is fastest. We’ll confirm availability and hold the bike.

2. Send documents ahead. A photo of your driving licence and one government ID. Foreign riders: passport plus International Driving Permit. Full list on the documents page.

3. Collect, or we deliver. Our shop is two minutes from the Ram Jhula footbridge on the Swarg Ashram side. Or give us your hotel and we’ll bring it, free, anywhere in Rishikesh — see pickup and delivery.

4. Ride. Helmet, chain lock and luggage carrier included. The bike is yours until 8 AM on your return day.

Why Riders Book With Us

The paperwork holds up

Self-drive rental in India requires a commercial taxi-series plate. A lot of Rishikesh shops rent private white-plate bikes because they’re cheaper to run. If you’re stopped at a checkpost on the Badrinath road with one, the fine and the argument are yours, not theirs. Every bike we own is plated correctly and insured. Read the rental terms — they’re written in plain language, not fine print.

We know which road washed out last week

Ten years on these roads means we know which stretch of the Rudraprayag–Guptkashi highway is under repair, which fuel pump past Joshimath is reliable, and what “the road is open” actually means in the second week of July. That’s more useful than a discount.

Someone answers at 9 PM in Chopta

If a bike stops 150 km from here, you get a person on WhatsApp and a mechanic’s number on your route. For genuine mechanical failure we arrange recovery or a replacement.

The quoted price is the price

No cleaning charge invented at handback, no fuel-gauge argument, no seasonal surprise.

Prefer Someone Riding in Front?

Some routes are better with a mechanic, a backup vehicle and permits already stamped. Our sister operation runs small-group guided Himalayan expeditions from Rishikesh — Do Dham, the full Chardham circuit, and Adi Kailash with Inner Line Permits arranged.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to rent a Royal Enfield in Rishikesh?
₹1,200 a day for a Hunter 350, ₹1,300 for a Classic 350, ₹1,400 for a Himalayan 411, ₹1,800 for a Guerrilla 450 and ₹2,000 for a Himalayan 450. Book three days or more and every rate drops. Fuel isn't included.
Do I need my own helmet?
No. A helmet, chain lock and luggage carrier come with every rental at no charge. Bring a second helmet only if you want a specific fit for a pillion.
Can I take the bike to Kedarnath or Badrinath?
Yes. Our bikes are approved for self-drive across Uttarakhand and carry taxi-series plates, so there's no legal issue riding to any of the dhams, Chopta, Auli or Harsil. Mention the route at booking so we can prep the bike.
How far ahead should I book?
Three to four days in April–June and September–November, especially for a Himalayan. Off-season, same-day is usually fine.
Is there a kilometre limit?
No daily kilometre cap. You pay for fuel; the distance is yours.
Can foreign visitors rent?
Yes, with a passport and a valid International Driving Permit from your home country. The IDP is a legal requirement in India, not a formality we've invented — without one we can't hand over a bike.
